The International Council on Monuments and Sites- ICOMOS Jordan Launched the regional initiative to enrich the Arabic content of World Heritage sites on Wikipedia encyclopedia, emanated from the cooperation with the Wikimedia Levant Users Group, the regional initiative to enrich the Arabic content of World Heritage sites.

The first workshop targeting the Emerging professional’s members (ICOMOS Jordan), discussed the criteria for a good article and the selected article. It also included an extensive explanation of editing and adding to articles on the Jordanian tangible and intangible heritage, in addition to uploading images.

53 participants have joined the workshop, dedicated to enriching the Arabic content of the World Heritage Sites in the Levant, by the architects, archaeologists, and those interested in cultural heritage in Jordan, Syria, Palestine, and Lebanon. This workshop aims to provide an opportunity for all experts and those interested in heritage sites to share reliable information on one of the most visited websites in the world.
